Cairns Summer Sounds 2023

Cairns will become a music mecca next summer with Cairns Summer Sounds 2023 announcing a line-up that will make the region’s summer sizzle. A stellar cast of live acts, including Thundamentals (feat. Horrorshow), The Cat Empire, Dami Im, Jessica Mauboy, Eric Bibb, and Stella Donnelly will perform across five different events in Cairns, bringing the tropics alive with big beats and vibrancy.

Joining the 2023 Cairns Summer Sounds lineup, hip hop heavyweights Thundamentals are back with a brand-new album, ALL THIS LIFE, and the stellar singles, TOP OF THE WORLD and LIFTED UP. Touring with them will be their mate Solo from Horrorshow lifting to roof off the Tanks Arts Centre for a most exceptional show!

Cat Empire Sold Out

Aussie mutli-instrumental and live show dynamos The Cat Empire have had an illustrious career, spanning decades, genres, and millions of adoring fans from across the globe.

As two of the original three founding members of the group, Felix Riebl and Ollie McGill, will continue their legacy and create a fresh, new era for the band and their fans. With boundless creative possibilities, a fantastic collaborative process, and musical curiosity, the new project will showcase an extraordinary collective of rotating musicians that will maintain The Cat Empire’s DNA but include more collaborations, influences, and diverse musicians.

Dami Im -  Sat 11 Feb

Dami Im has amassed a multitude of hits and achievements during her relatively short career. The Korean born singer and musician first came to national prominence when she won The X Factor. Dami walked off The X Factor stage victorious and strode, without delay, into the #1 spot on the ARIA charts with her platinum self-titled album DAMI IM.

She has since gone on to release a string of platinum and gold hit albums and singles such as ‘Alive’, ‘Super Love’ and ‘Gladiator’. She went onto become Eurovision royalty in 2016 when she earned the highest score ever achieved by an Australian entry with her global smash hit ‘Sound of Silence’

Eric Bibb - Fri 24 Feb

One of the world’s leading bluesmen of our time, two-time Grammy Award nominee, Eric Bibb will come riding onto Australian shores in 2023.

Returning for the Aussie summer, Bibb will perform the classics he is known and loved for, whilst introducing brand new material from his much-anticipated forthcoming album, titled Ridin’, which will be available ahead of its release date exclusively at these shows.
