Jim Moginie and the Family Dog

Tanks Arts Centre - Tank 5

On sale now

Back in 2006 Jim Moginie (Midnight Oil) founded The Family Dog to promote his first solo album Alas Folkloric. They have now hit the road again on the back of the new album, Bark Overtures.

The Family Dog is guitarist Kent Steedman and drummer Paul Loughhead (The Celibate Rifles), plus multi-instrumentalist Tim Kevin (La Huva, Exiles and Youth Group). Live, this line up is all about dynamics, travelling from a whisper to a scream, from a blitzkrieg via a Midnight Oil classic to trippy psychedelia.

Jim Moginie’s more than twenty-five-year contribution to Midnight Oil as a co-founder, songwriter musician and vocalist pioneered new ground, inflamed passions and challenged social justice and environmental concepts. Moginie is back, fresh from Midnight Oil’s reunion Grand Circle World Tour, keen to perform his own songs and Midnight Oil classics.
