What is the seating capacity of the theatre?

For most performances, the theatre will seat 669 people. This changes if there is a large orchestra or the stage is built out into the hall.

What are the dimensions of the stage?

The stage is 11m deep and 11 m wide and is straddled by sound projecting wings.

Do we offer any performing opportunities?

Cairns is home to several organisations that produce events which are staged at the theatre.

Do we have any costumes/props/sets for hire?

We don’t own or operate a staging company, so we don’t have costumes, props or sets of our own. We do rent sound and lighting equipment, however.

I heard you are moving into a new building?

While plans have been made to move, funding hasn’t been finalised and until it is, we’re staying put!
